Doug Adamson - KMNT News Director

"Welcome Home" to KMNT Country! I'm proud to be a part of KMNT Country. I hope you enjoy our news coverage of the Twin Cities, Lewis and Thurston Counties, and the rest of the communities from Toledo to Tenino, and Pe Ell from Packwood.

Now, a bit about myself. I'm a graduate of Shelton High School, and began working in a radio station the day after I graduated. I first cut my teeth at Clover Park Technical College in Tacoma. After graduating that program, I worked inside several radio news shops around Southwest Washington, until arriving in the Twin Cities back in September of 2000. That's when I took the job as News Director. My work day starts with a 2:30 a.m. alarm ( actually I have two alarms in my bedroom, in case the first one fails ). It's a great honor and responsibility to cover stories that directly impact you. As a journalist, you have only one commodity to trade: That's trust. I'm proud to have built trusting relationships with local newsmakers in our community, and am able to broadcast the fruit of those efforts as news to you. If you have something you think we'd like to hear send it to us.

I'm an avid traveler, and have been around the globe. I'm also a garage and estate sale junkie. Golf, backpacking, and fantasy football are among my favorite things. I also read eight newspapers daily, a number of magazines, and news related blogs.
